Diana grew up in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Having been inspired by her mother, who was an elementary school teacher, and other family members who were involved in infant education, she decided at the age of 15 to begin her career as an elementary school teacher. She graduated in 2005 as a teacher of Elementary Education in Guatemala. Following graduation, she studied at the Universidad Mariano Galvez of Guatemala, the career of Educational Administration and completed a professorship in media education.
