IX2A4230c-1Assistant & Extended Day Teacher - Stars

Grace is a graduate of the University of Utah with a B.S. in Human Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood education. She was introduced to Montessori education while working at the Center for Family and Child Development at the University of Utah. She has also worked in various roles in the Salt Lake School District for 10 years, most recently as the lead teacher in an integrated Special Education and General Education class. She values the experiences she had in the public schools, but she found herself always wishing for the Montessori curriculum and materials in her classroom. She believes in and has experienced the difference that hands-on, appropriately scaffolded, and developmentally appropriate education can make in a child's life. She is excited to work at the Montessori Community School implementing the practices, materials, philosophy and respect for children that this education method provides.
