Brandi Allen


Brandi Allen was born and raised in Utah. Her husband, Earl, is a project manager at the U of U. She has three children – Nate, Emilia, and Oliver which have all attended MCS and now one is currently teaching in Early Childhood. Brandi has been a stay-at-home mom, a yoga teacher and a ski instructor. She started working at Montessori Community School in 1990 and has a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Utah. She has her AMS Montessori Elementary Certification which she completed through Westminster College in 2014. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family and dogs.

Bonnie Bracken

Bonnie Stevens Bracken was born and raised in Salt Lake City, marrying Jason Bracken in the summer of 2006. Bonnie likes hiking, boating, reading, going to movies, cooking, playing sports and watching football. Although Bonnie is a graduate of Utah State University, she is an ardent supporter of the University of Utah football team. Bonnie enjoys traveling and has been to Japan, Mexico and Costa Rica. She loves the Oregon coastline most of all. Bonnie received her Montessori education through Montessori World Education Institute and the Utah Montessori Teacher Education Program. She also completed AMS Montessori training at Westminster College. Bonnie has been teaching in the Lower Elementary classroom since 2000, and she loves the creative thinkers at this age! Bonnie's involvement in Montessori Community School started back in 1990. A little known fact about Bonnie: she learned to swim before she could walk. 

Ruth Jennings


A native of the U.K., Ruth has a degree in French and German from Oxford University. After graduating, she moved to Louisiana and became interested in the Montessori approach to teaching when her two sons attended the Montessori School for Shreveport. She obtained her Elementary I Teaching Credential while living in Memphis, Tennessee, and has never looked back! She finds it a joy to share the learning process with students in the LE classroom, where each individual is respected, encouraged and celebrated. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys yoga, tai chi, playing the piano, calligraphy, reading and travel. 

Diana Haro


Diana was born in Mexico City and emigrated to Utah as a child. She and her husband Jonathan have two children, Pablo and Catalina, who currently attend MCS. Diana began working at Montessori Community School in 2007 and immediately fell in love with the school and the Montessori Method. She received her AMS Lower Elementary certification through Westminster, where she is halfway through her Master's degree in Education. Diana is passionate about her culture, children, and education. In her free time she enoys spending time in the woods with her kids and husband, reading, drawing, and painting.
