Bonnie Bracken

Bonnie Stevens Bracken was born and raised in Salt Lake City, marrying Jason Bracken in the summer of 2006. Bonnie received her Montessori education through Montessori World Education Institute and the Utah Montessori Teacher Education Program. She also completed AMS Montessori training at Westminster College. Bonnie has been teaching in the Lower Elementary classroom since 2000, and she loves the creative thinkers at this age! Bonnie's involvement in Montessori Community School started back in 1990. Although Bonnie is a graduate of Utah State University, she is an ardent supporter of the University of Utah football team. Bonnie likes hiking, boating, reading, going to the movies, cooking, playing sports and watching football. Bonnie enjoys traveling and has been to Japan, Mexico and Costa Rica. She loves the Oregon coastline most of all. A little known fact about Bonnie: she learned to swim before she could walk. 

Margaret Mc Donald

McDonald-Margaret-1Upper Elementary Teacher/Director of Curriculum 

Margaret Mc Donald has been at MCS since 1994. Margaret received her Montessori teaching credentials for Early Childhood, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary from the London Montessori Center in Dublin, Ireland. For the past 24 years she has been teaching students between the ages of 2½ to 14 years old. Margaret, who was born in Ireland, came to the States in 1990 and lived in Florida and Colorado before moving to Utah. In her free time Margaret likes to bake, garden, knit read and run. 

Diana Haro

Haro-Medina-Diana-1Teacher - Oquirrh

Diana was born in Mexico City and emigrated to Utah as a child. She and her husband Jonathan have two children, Pablo and Catalina, who currently attend MCS. Diana began working at Montessori Community School in 2007 and immediately fell in love with the school and the Montessori Method. She received her AMS Lower Elementary certification through Westminster. Diana is passionate about her culture, children, and education. In her free time she enjoys spending time in the woods with her kids and husband, reading, drawing, and painting.

Ruth Jennings

Jennings-Ruth-1Teacher - Wasatch

A native of the UK, Ruth has a degree in French and German from Oxford University, England. After graduating, she moved to Louisiana where her two young sons attended the Montessori School for Shreveport.  She joined their staff as a part-time French teacher, and became interested in teaching at the Elementary level. She obtained her Montessori Elementary I Teaching Credential from the North Carolina Center for Montessori Teacher Education (AMS)  in 1997 while living in Germantown, Tennessee. She has since worked at Montessori schools in Tennessee, New Jersey and North Carolina. She joined MCS in 2013 as an LE Teacher in Wasatch class. She gets immense satisfaction from watching children develop their skills and their love of learning over the three year cycle. In her free time, Ruth enjoys writing, calligraphy, yoga, playing the piano, reading, and travel. 

Kenzee Kubilius

Kubilius-McKenzie-1Teacher - Oquirrh

Kenzee started her career at MCS in 2012 in the Toddler Suns classroom. A love for young children blossomed from there. It lead her to taking an Infant/Toddler training and gaining that credential in 2014. Alongside this, she is  She is excited to share and apply this knowledge with the students in the Oquirrh classroom. In Kenzee’s spare time, she loves to go camping, hiking, and fly fishing with her dog, Wesley, and boyfriend, Emerson.

Christian Olson

Olson-Christian-1Support Teacher - Uinta

Christian started at MCS in 2015. Christian was born in Utah but has since lived all over the country. In places such as Northern California, New York City and Maui. With a wild imagination and hunger for learning, Christian has always followed his intuition to new experiences and a wide array of skills. This drive for knowledge has brought him to educating. Christian became Lower Elementary Certified in 2019 through CGMS. Christian spent 6 years teaching children and adolescents of many different ability levels. In his spare time, Christian enjoys gardening, yoga, and art of any kind.

Nate Lewis

Lewis-Nate-1Elementary Extended Day Teacher

Nate Lewis was born and raised in Salt Lake City and is the oldest of three children. He has worked at the Montessori Community School for several years, but has been a part of the MCS community for far longer. As a student Nate attended MCS for both the Early Childhood and Middle School programs, and after graduating from the Salt Lake School for Performing Arts Nate returned to MCS as a staff member. In his free time Nate enjoys reading, music, art, film, and spending his time with his friends.

Carson Woodard

Carson loves his dog and writing when he has free time. Carson snowboards in the winter and has a passion for birds of prey and falconry. Carson has attended some college. What he likes about MCS is the open and independent learning it gives children.

Daneah Imboden

IX2A4227c-1Elementary Extended Day Teacher 
Daneah is a life-long Salt Lake resident. Art and music are her main interests- Daneah played the guitar for five years and she draws and paints along with silversmithing which she can't get enough of!! Daneah was drawn to Montessori because of the teaching methods and because she has heard such good things about MCS.
